You don't have to be old to be right.

Wise words.

Ackman gets a bad rep from a certain section of the public due to his bold, border-line aggressive approach on his investments. Those people need to understand that despite he's a hedge fund manager, Ackman often acts as a private equity manager (easily seen by his invested companies' takeovers throughout time). Say what you want of him, but he isn't a billionaire for being a mediocre, dull manager/investor.

It sucks he had to give up on Herbalife. They are obviously a pyramid scheme but have found no shortage of fools to take advantage of. Herbalife will find its demise one day, but I can see not wanting to tie up all that capitol in that bet when there are better opportunities.

If I had to guess I would say he likes taking calculated risks just to add some action to his job which would otherwise be just a human adding machine. Also just because an organization has posed as legit for 30 odd years does not mean it is. There are people defrauding people for decades and when they are caught they are called career criminals not just considered innocent because they have gotten away with it so long.

Despite the fact that his trading strategy more keen on shorting the market like Jessie Livermore, but without any doubt, he is one of the best traders in the century....

How to invest like a maverick: use high frequency trading, manipulate through dark pools, pay off the sec and Congress, make more and more until your ego is so big your wife and kids hate you.

1:07 That's what you should have done, but you have NEVER done that in the history of Pershing Square.

Anyone following Bill Ackman should first look at two other guy's bank accounts and then decide who you want to follow:

Warren Buffet - $76, 000, 000, 000
Carl Icahn - $16, 000, 000, 000
Bill Ackman - $1, 400, 000, 000

Really is an easy decision.
