They have known about this since at least 1984. Has nobody seen The Terminator?

He says this, and founded a company called Neuralink which develops "implantable brain–machine interfaces." He's not pro humanity.

People laugh while this guys is serious, "ignorance is a bliss"

I wouldn’t be too hasty to laugh Musk off… recursion can spawn unintended results.

If you want a picture of the future where robots and humans coexist imagine a human being treating a robot as a human being and where wildlife are given the privilege to live in their own way, but if you want a picture of the future where we keep doing things the way we always have been doing things and treat our artificial creations has nothing more than machines then imagine a robotic foot stamping on a human face forever

THE THREE LAWS OF ROBOTICS BY ISAAC ASIMOV:

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

3. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

I say we shouldn't go to far with these AI's. Go where the limit hits it point and NOT go along on creating robots that could wipe out and obsolete the planet

The interviewer doesn't seem too bright :(

personally I think complete A.I is possible.Just look at IBM Watson...even though it can't think too much, it can understand a 'human language' filled with metaphors, similes which is very complex...I am pretty sure there are advanced computers hidden in big companies which are way beyond powerful than our imagination..

Being a programmer I don't think thats possible. I have never seen or heard any output machine behavior mismatching the input program. This leads us to self developing consciousness which goes into psychology and not science. Nonetheless we should be aware about this as it makes me remind the sentence from Matrix 1 movie, when Morpheus tells Neo, "This world existed in 20th century ..." and the rest we know!!

In an Austrian accent: Come With Me If You Want To Live.

now you're just talking out of your fear and paranoia. maybe A.I could have another option which don't involve deleting mankind from earth.

Artificial intelligence could absolutely wipe out humanity. Alien intelligence, on the other hand, would never have that agenda. We come in peace…bloop, bleep, beep, boo, boop. 👽🛸😂

So we simply create AI's whose function is to protect humanity in response to it.

I'll subscribe if you can tell me where I can see this interview in its entirety.
