Using the rehab pamphlet to close your wound is wild

It’s so cool that he’s narrating his response to this scene. The only thing that could possibly make it cooler is if we could actually hear what he’s saying.

You need new scripts for schedule 2 controlled substances every month. 0 refills. I work in a mail-order pharmacy, and the angry and abusive calls we get from folks regarding these meds are intense.

My favorite thing about pharmacists in movies/TV is how it’s always just a singular pharmacist working with no technicians and they’re always just waiting at the register and doing nothing else.

That actress really nailed withdrawal. Just the cadence of her voice brings me right back to the Hell of addiction. Ive never seen it portrayed so well.
What a miserable journey it was to get clean but i wouldn't trade it for anything. There is nothing like being there for other people as they find their way out of that life and into the real version of themselves❤❤❤❤ We absolutely do recover

I had a pharmacist refuse to refill my clonazepam on the day it was due to be filled because she said I was acting like I had an addiction issue. She said I was very anxious and fidgeting. Well of course I was anxious. I have chronic anxiety disorder and panic disorder. I’m always anxious. I called my doctor and they had a long conversation and then she filled them. Now every time I go to the pharmacy I only go to this one location I found because they know me there. I won’t ever trust another pharmacy outside of theirs.

Do doctors think going cold turkey is the only way to wean someone off something cuz that's how people die or do hard drugs that do the same thing

I hated getting clonazepam refills because they would always cancel or not fill it multiple times. I was in school in Austin and my psychiatrist was in my home town of San Antonio literally 55 minutes away, and they eventually told me that the separate city Dr was why they thought I was an addict!!!

Unfortunately, many people battling addiction start bec of real pain. They get a script for the pills and slowly they get hooked. My grandma was in constant pain (she had a congenital spinal issue and broke her back twice in her life and got 18+ surgeries on it) and her dr prescribed painkillers for her. Over time she got hooked, and she ended up passing away of an overdose. It’s terrible that this happens

Funeral just happened for a guy that tried to detox without telling anyone. He secluded himself to try and fight it off and died from withdrawal. No one found him until days later.

As someone who takes oxycodone for my cancer, I'm honestly tired of pharmacists who think they know better than my doctor and try to intervene. I have large tumors that are incredibly painful, and yes I'm very young for someone who needs morphine AND oxycodone.

Ahhh thank you so much for mentioning the "you can't know that". I can't tell you how commonly I would get "the look" from pharmacists. I go to one now who gets it.
I switched pain doctors in 2021 and l
I've been on them for 10 years. I have CRPS. Specifically I've been on oxycodone and morphine for around 8, before that fentanyl while I was relearning to walk and rebuilding muscle.

Ok, as a person that has to be in pain meds because of GI failure, and the horrible about of adhesions and scar tissue in my gut, and that pain is just the beginning. My intestines are so badly damaged to even flush my feeding tube can be agonizing. There is nothing more insulting than someone accusing you of being a drug addict. I’m lucky now in the way that docs and pharmacists don’t treat me like crap, but it took me getting way signer for that to happen. Now an ER doc comes in and asks what we need to do for pain. My chart reads that it’s a miracle I’m still here because of how jacked up I am physically. Not like they days before where I’d be septic, in excruciating pain and no meds at all. I have severe medical ptsd and if can be so hard

I have severe chronic pain for years from a genetic condition. Yes, we do need doctors and pharmacists. But the relationship between pain doctors, pharmacists and long term, true chronic pain patients…is like an abusive relationship! I just went out of state to visit my daughter and the hoops I had to go through to get my controlled substances refilled was stressful and ridiculous! I am sick of being treated like a drug addict when I have followed every instruction to the letter and haven’t ever done one thing wrong in 30 years of pain meds!

Unfortunately I know many elderly people that are dependent and they were prescribed for real issues but now are physically dependent and when they are almost out of run out too soon to refill they call in freaking out...with complaints about how Bad they hurt, , , not even realizing that it's withdrawal starting. And since we're a cardiology office we don't call in the scripts for them.and the prescribing doctor won't or can't because it's too soon.

I have a chronic illness and have been on opiates for 10+ years. I am lucky that I am taken seriously by my doctors but I am in constant fear of being cut off or running out.
