I think this is actually quite good, I like to add rogue's passage in the odd deck and it's arguably much worse (4 mana to tap, but really 5 mana as you're losing its mana)
I think if you put this in a pirate deck with a lot of cards that proc off of dealing combat damage it'd be good, or a deck that's all out about amass, amass is nice, but a big issue is no trample for 1 big token.
