Cutting tax was not wrong, we need to reward ambition, and to encourage money-making, quite apart from the FACT that 40% tax will actually bring in MORE tax, and if 40% was perfectly acceptable for the Blair government then that shows that it was the right measure.

You got this one wrong lee. Historically cutting the top rate of tax has proven to generate more money for the treasury, as people work more and pay more overall tax on their earnings. Look at when rate cut from 60p etc It benefits everyone as more money to spend on services etc. The same with the bankers bonuses, yes they get more money but the treasury ALSO gets more as they pay tax on their bonuses! you have to look at everything not just your belief that the rich get richer, the rich pay the most tax overall in any society. Go look it up.
