Giuliani willingly and knowingly allowed himself to go end his legacy in shame and ridicule for a man who didn't even pay him.

Wasn’t Benedict Arnold a patriot, until he wasn’t?

Rudy Giuliani needs the same treatment!

It was not the publics perception, it was the media's perception. They always treated him like some kind of hero when most of us going back to the 90s thought of him as a scoundrel not trustworthy

Rudy's only true love has been the camera's. From his very beginnings at SDNY, he would do whatever it took to get camera time. His desire to be mayor was because it gave him more camera time. Then 9/11 was the biggest camera moment of his life. The rest of his life has been the ruthless pursuit of his glorious 9/11 days in front of the cameras.

Anybody else remember that comedic gold moment when Borat, Sasha Baron Cohen pranked Rudy Colludy with the promise of sleeping with a young underage girl? Rudy proceeded to lay down in bed adjusting his failing junk and when found out claimed he was just adjusting his penguin shirt and tucking in his coat tail.

When Rudy Colludy had his Four Seasons Landscaping Press Conference and his hair dye ran down the side of his silly head LIVE on National TV still makes me laugh today whenever I think about it.

He was rotten from the get-go. I'm so glad she focused on the police riot, which, along with the Brooks Bros. Riot of 2000, was precursor to Jan. 6.
And weren't most of SDNY cases overturned on appeal?

I think Rudy Giuliani was promised something big, from the Russian Oligarchs that made him so loyal.

About 4-5years ago when I told my then 25yo daughter that Rudy Giuliani was once well respected across the US and often floated as a presidential candidate, she didn't fully believe me. She was in such disbelief that she had to Google him and his press conferences just after 9/11.

In 1997, Giuliani decided to put the city's Office of Emergency Management command center in 7 World Trade Center. The police department opposed using that location. New York City Director of Emergency Management Jerome Hauer recommended a location in Brooklyn instead. He said, "The [Brooklyn] building is secure and not as visible a target as buildings in Lower Manhattan." No doubt he was thinking about the 1993 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Giuliani overrode the objections and the command center was placed on the 23rd floor of 7 World Trade Center. It was destroyed on 9/11.

A man losing his fame makes a dangerous man. Ego is a powerful force, poor Rudy was lost in search for his lost fame, it drove him to being a traitor, now he needs to pay a price.

The Reverend is the first person I have heard with perspicacity where he describes Giuliani's behaviour correctly. Giuliani did not change from a man who behaved for the common good to someone who lost his way...he was always about himself, a narcissist. He worked for the accolades. Hopefully Rebecca Gitlitz's portrayal highlights that truth, not a story about the fall of one man. Giuliani was never abut being a good person, he was never on the scale.
