i dig your stuff i hope i'm not coming off like a know it all haha but heres a tip: set your table saw blade lower, its just a safety thing, better to get nicked than cut your whole hand off :) keep up the projects man!

Could you have incorporated the french cleat system into this? so you could have other planters in the future? Custom made boxes with a french cleat? Might make one for the front porch

Alternatively: Use Dollar Tree tins. Snip the lids, bend over the edge, and secure with epoxy and/or self tapping screws.
