Thanks SO Everyone told me it was my deep well pump (a month old) or the line coming into the house has a leak. Watched a number of your videos which enabled me to gain at least a decent understanding of the system. It is going to be that line beneath the switch which I will fix tomorrow! Saved me a lot of money and I am so grateful. Will have a hard time getting to sleep now. I've shut the well pump off so I don't blow a pipe etc... No heat tonight (geothermal system) so will be cold here in Manitoba Canada tonight but by noon tomorrow I'm certain all will be up and running again. Thanks again so much for doing what you do.

Your videos are great! So much info. We have a old well that was on our property when we bought it 13 years ago. Been trying to get any well company to show up to get it back up and running but no one ever shows up. So we are gonna pull the pump ourselves. Your videos give me courage to take this. Thanks

Thanks so much for an informative and very helpful video!

With your help, I just fixed a well that has been giving us fits for a year. Like the pressure switch you showed in this video, Mine was full of rusty hard water deposits. I disassembled the diaphragm from under the switch and found that the pipe into the diaphragm was plugged nearly solid. Cleaned up, it works like it should, and I can quit fearing the cost of a new pump. :)

If you find yourself in Colorado, I owe you a case of your favorite beverage, my friend!

I just watched this video and fixed my issue. It wasn’t the valve, but a wire was broken and I was able to fix it after watching your video! Thank you so much for this content!!!!

Hi - greetings from Ireland! Thanks - your videos have been very educational and very well (sorry) explained. It took me a while to find this particular one but when I did I went woah! that's my problem! Yes, water was OK then running down and stopping, and after an hour or more it would magically come back on for a while, then off again. And yeah, it was gunk in the spigot and all the way up into the pressure switch - like solid brown rusty gunk. I took the Square D switch apart - 6 screws, then gently peel back the rubber assembly. It took a lot of gentle cleaning to get it all out - I didn't want to push a screwdriver in there in case I damaged the rubber membrane. So I used a dish wash brush, a piece of wood, and tissue. Put it all back together and it purrs. I might have a look at the pressure tank - I tested it with a car foot-pump and it seems to be around 20 psi and should be 28 psi. But I'm happy, and have that nice feeling when you learn to do something new. Thanks again - I'll pass this info on to my brother and my nephew for the day when they will have this problem.

This video is very informational. My water just stopped flowing 2 nights ago at random but the pump stays running. I am about to go and try whats suggested in this video and provide an update if I dont electrocute myself doing so, haha. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the great advice. Our water pressure had completely fallen. Turned out ants had gotten stuck in the switch, so brushing them off got the pump working again. Thank you very much!

Old system, no pressure reading from air side of tank. Pressure builds up, then starts rapid cycling on and off until water coming out of pressure relief valve.

Thoughts much appreciated!

Great video it helps me a lot to understand it except I am still confused of how much turn those two Springs needs to be at. Maybe you make a video in detail on it please. Thank you from Reno Nevada

Hey, really like all the videos you have posted. They are very informative and have been very helpful along the way with troubleshooting my well and pump issues by prosses of elimination. However I still can't seem to quite figure out the pressure problem that I'm having. I replaced my tank initially because the blatter in the tank was bad. Also while replacing the tank I went ahead and replaced the pressure switch as well, and I also repiped from the well to the tank with new pipe because the system is about 25 years old and needed to be upgraded as the pipe was old and brittle. I have a 30/50 pressure switch and a 32 gal tank. I adjusted the tank pressure and pressure switch accordingly. I have checked for power to the well and on both sides of the switch and my pump is pumping water to my tank and all is good there but, the issue I'm having is the pressure seems to be sporadic on my pressure gauge, sometimes it cuts in at 30psi and off at 35 or on at 25psi and off at 35psi, it's all over the place but will never get up to 50 psi. The most it will pressurize up to is 40psi and cuts out. I have a check valve in the system before the pressure switch and I have two gauges. One gauge before and one after the pressure switch, when the pump kicks on they will both go up to 40psi at the most. However the gouges before the check valve drops to 0 when the pump cuts out and the one after the switch will hold at 35 to 40 psi. The only conclusion I can come up with is that my hose or pipe from the motor has a small leak somewhere because I have no water pressure holding from between the motor and the check valve so I'm assuming the water is being lost back down.to the well somewhere in the pipe or hose. I also know there is no water inbetween those two points because I have a spigot in the line and there is no water in between the two points as well, when I open it, and when the pump is not pumping. However as soon as the pump kicks on I have water and pressure between the two points again but I'm only getting about 40psi tops? If you have any more helpful suggestions please let me know or if you believe i need to pull my well pump motor please let me know as i was hoping not to have to go that route! Thanks for reading hope you can help.
