1) Add a White SOS mode in the brightest setting for more visible signaling
2) From Off: Press Once to turn lantern on White and Press/Hold to turn lantern on Red - (It needs the ability to initially select White or Red from the Off position)

Thorough review. Your suggestions made sense to me also, not that the current programming would stop me from buying the lantern but your suggestions would push it to another level of usefulness.

First let me say, that was the best review I have seen yet, on this lantern. Well done. I have been looking for a camping and home emergency lantern but I am picky in what I want and need. Thank you for the detailed video senorita. i've always been a fan of streamlight products, and this just shows they put as much thought into their normal use products as they do for self defensive stuff(besides the whole red/white light thing). i highly recommend their TLR's to anyone looking for a good affordable, but feature packed weapon light.

FYI, Red does preserve your night vision over white light, look at WWII submarine warfare, lookouts used red lights prior to going to the bridge at night. And I think this was a good review, nice lantern.

A Streamlight without a lifetime warranty? Everything I own from them has had a great warranty. They even replaced my Stylus Pro after it got cut in half going through an engine fan. Great review. I will consider picking one up.

That frosted lens seems to really help with the softness on the Streamlight. I like a softer light as my eyes are sensitive to bright light. Nice review. Thanks

I think this Streamlight will grab market share from the Rayovac Sportsman 3D LED lantern (have two, and they are great but with less features).  I like the frosted globe on the Streamlight, and the red led option.  
The Rayovac was a great value at $20 or less (it's now $27 on AMZN), but now the Streamlight is looking very competitive with the increased features.

Looks like a cool little lantern, I might have to get one for my cabin...it'd be nice especially if you have to get up in the middle of the night and don't want to wake anyone by turning on a flashlight.
