I didnt know about this, your TITLE is what got my attention. As USUAL, your information is GOLD. Excellent clarification and yes, most read headlines and not the fine print. As a media & marketing person myself, I understand the importance of getting the audience attention.

I was about to say it (then you did), that it is obviously due to the pressure from other countries why they are doing this. Honestly, UAE likes to stand on its own, but it is also good to not let the other people be too upset with you. So I understand it, though it won't apply to me when I am ready to start setting up there.

I’ve worked as an expat in Bahrain and UAE and it’s always tax exempt!

This is how rich and humble these countries are!

Could you please do a video on "that thing in your arm" requirements in Dubai for: 1. Tourists/visitors, 2. Foreign residents.
Are there any restrictions on what places you can visit (restaurants, malls etc?) if you do not have that "thing?"

Great content! Very informative, European countries are set to raise taxes even tho inflation is high.
My questions is could you maybe make a video about the process with exact costs to open a freezone company and how to get residency visas for lets say a family?

I am looking for myself and my family, hence the question.

Thank you, once again great content!

So if someone is a tax resident in Dubai and had a free zone company (crypto) you don’t have to pay the 9% Tax … Is the correct ?

They was always a hidden tax which is called goverment license fee and visa fee . We pay that every year so thats basically a tax too and especially the fees are way to high for small business paying 20k + plus every year is alot plus visa cost and what are we getting nothing from government

When is the best time to register? Ideally how much should my online business be making in profit in a year in order for this move to make financial sense for me?

Man, do you know how much personal tax we pay on our personal income in Germany? Almost over 40%!! Even if Dubai would implement a 20% personal tax (which they wouldn't) it would be a Safe haven for me!!!

There is no official document from the government that says Free Zones will be exempt from this new corporate tax.

In the article that you mention, that’s an interpretation by one guy they interviewed for the article: “According to Jonathan Davidson, founding Partner at the DIFC law firm Davidson & Co., "

My personal take is that Free Zones will be affected the same way they were affected by VAT tax.

I see a bit of wishful thinking in this video. The reality is that UAE was a 0% tax country where you only had to pay high hidden fees like business licenses. In few years they moved from that to 5% VAT and now 9% corporate tax, only income tax is missing now and I won’t be surprised if they introduce it soon.

They are loosing potential compared to other low taxes countries. I have a company on a Free Zone and I am considering moving out if they keep introducing new taxes.

Come back to this comment after few months and you will see how Free Zones were finally affected by corporate tax.

3-5% I can understand. 9% just ridiculous. Whole point of Dubai is so you can set up business with no tax

Ok you still can manage, go around and not pay any tax. But who exactly will have to pay this 9% and under what circumstances?
