The Nair Prep and Smooth face-hair remover claims to make removing facial hair easy with its smooth-glide applicator and hydrating hair-remover formula. Producer Nico Reyes tests the hair remover on her face to see if it actually does remove the hair and exfoliates the skin to make a better base for makeup.

Oh that’s a chemical burn. I’ve always faced that issue with nair. I tried it for my upper lips once and I ended up with a chemical burn. I now stick to waxing. I actually love how easy the Parissa sugar wax is. Their wax strips are awful but the sugar wax actually works.

Remove it when it starts burning. Never let anything do that😢

You sacrificed your skin for us. For that we thank you. ❤

I can't imagine using that on my face. Every hair removal cream irritates me on other parts of my body, even the ones that are for 'sensitive skin'.

Ooh be careful with your face girl! Testing products for us is not worth hurting your face. Patch test first next time for sure if you do want to try it. I already naturally kind of have the redness of irritation because I have dry skin but I'm gonna make a appointment to see the dermatologist. My mom and grandma has extreme redness in their face and I want to prevent it on me (or at least lessen it, nothing is perfect right).

i used nair just for my upper lip back when i was 17yrs old and lemme tell you it was the first and last time i ever used a nair product. just seeing you do a review on nair just reinforced my hatred for this product regardless of watermelon scented or not. 😅

Once again, and even though this product is a much improved version of its predecessor, this is a good enough reason to stick to either wax, dermaplaining or IPL.

Thanks for the video. It was very educational.

I would never dare to use such products. I would be way too scared of my face melting away. 💀

I used an older version Nair depilatory cream that was labeled for the face a long time ago, and I just remember the area where I applied it being red and irritated for days. I don't think it's exclusive to Nair, but in general I just think chemical depilatories are too harsh to use on the face.
I recently started using IPL. Haven't used it long enough to see the permanent results yet, but dermaplaning plus IPL is definitely a more sensitive skin friendly approach to hair removal. Pro-tip with dermaplaning: use it with a cheap facial oil. Really helps reduce irritation.

Our girl be brave!!! My skin is so sensitive, I know that cream would just eat away my whole face. 😳

DO NOT USE IF YOU USE ACTIVES (TRETNOIN, GYCOLIC ACID, ETC). THE RISK OF CHEMICAL BURNS IS MUCH HIGHER 😢

As you applied ….it was very clear that you rubbed it in instead of just going in a one direction strip….you went in circles if you had gone in a straight line it wouldn’t have irritated your skin as much in my opinion 😊❤

Thx for doing this and talking about facial hair. Use some cortisone cream. Be careful.

Be careful with chemical burns! Avoid using exfoliants and anything acidic for a while. Like AHAs, BHAs, salicilic acid and the likes of that. OInly wash your face with a neutral ph cleanser, for serum it's best to go with something natural and/or sensitive skin friendly (something like ceramides and centella for example) and a light facial oil as moisturiser (rosehip seed is a really good one) and pat it into your skin instead of doing the usual circular/rubbing motions. Also, don't forget sunscreens! Since more than your top layer of skin has been damaged, protecting the newer layers are crucial.
