for some reason this riff feels like it is the seattle sound summed even though i’ve never been all i can ever hear is people saying it wasn’t a good place to be in the 90s with no money, hardly any jobs and the big herion scene. evreytime i hear this song it just reminds me of kurt being dead and i don’t know why maybe it’s because he knew that this would be his last recording, who knows? we’ll never know.

I have an EHX Frequency Analyzer (a true adjustable ring mod which is adjusted to only single notes and not full chords, but can be further adjusted like sharp/flat, doubled, or used to completely morph the original sound of a note into something otherworldly). I'd rather have this Pedal X than my own ring mod because it seems even easier to use than just a dedicated ring mod.

That Mr. X/Pedal X, overdrive/ring mod texture on the solo is pretty wild. The only way I would even think you could even get close to that sound would be either build one yourself, or possibly by using an overdrive chained to something like the Boss DM2 Delay Kurt was known to use early on.
