I would “NEVER” pay over sticker! I wouldn’t buy it out of principle.

If you’re having an issue with this markup, the Zora will be no different and probably be a higher markup.

The greedy dealers did the same thing with the Z06.

The ZR1 will also be made in higher volumes and multiple years not like the C7 ZR1 which was a 1 year model and last front engine. If I don’t make the first year I will be 2nd year.

There's only a few ways to allocate limited, high-demand cars. The best customers get first choice, and the allocations are based on prior relationships - like Ferrari and Porsche. Or the cars can go to the highest bidder - like with the ZR-1. Or a popularity contest - like with the Ford GT and GTD. No system makes everyone happy.

At msrp or walk. They won’t hold the value with a markup like 150k. Maybe Chevy will make you have owned a Zr1 in order to be allocated a Zora. It’s possible.

If you don’t want to pay 300k for a zr1 then you’re certainly not gonna want to pay 400k for a Zora 🤣

Speed Phenom Great Video I think it's crazy that Dealerships are charging 100-150k over MSRP for C8 ZR1's and I think you should keep looking so you can hopefully get one so you won't miss out

You could wait and miss on this great car and when the Zora comes out the mark ups will be even greater

It's not about the 300k vs 400k its about paying 150+ over the value. After all its still a corvette and history shows the value doesn't typically hold. Look at the value of the Z06

If they want 300k for this than the Zora gonna be $1 million 😂

Totally get it! Do not pay a ridiculous markup. It's totally bogus for dealers to do that. The bottom line is it's price gouging. I totally understand supply/demand justification, but to apply such an unreasonable markup actually hurts the value of the car/brand. GM should be helping their customers by "stepping in" to control dealer markups.

Your math is not mathing, if a ZR1 costs $300k then a Zora will have even worse markups aside from the higher base price.

I know I'd like to see the ZR1 on the channel 😉

The C8 Zora may be a limited production hyper car, so you will have more trouble getting an allocation. Good luck!

I wouldnt pay over sticker EVER. Buy the Zora and drive it to the chevy dealer and tell them this is a $300k car. If everyone stops letting stealerships rob them, they wont mark the cars up

As a viewer, the content I'd look forward to the most would be a track comparison between the ZR1 and the GTD on the same track with the same driver. However, paying an outrageous markup isn't something I'd like to encourage. As I see it, there are a few options with upside and downsides:

1. Buy the ZR1 with full markup, make early content, and try to sell it while the market is still hot, which is a financial risk and supports markups

2. Wait to buy the ZR1 until the market cools down, which might not perform quite as well as content since the car is no longer brand new

3. Skip the ZR1 and buy the Zora, however there is a chance there will be no Zora, or the Zora will be wrapped into the ZR1 as a performance option, which still runs the same financial risk as before if markups remain (although it will probably hold value better).

There's a lot of other factors to consider, but regardless I'm looking forward the next car you throw on track, whatever and whenever it is.

They will defiantly be making a 1500-1600 HP Zora. However That will be 300k plus with markup as they will make a limited amount, maybe less than 1000.

You are a great you-tuber. GM needs to facilitate a good deal for you through one of their top dealers .You provide great content and would help GM sell ZR1s. Your track videos are great and you need this ZR1 when it comes off the line. GM should sell you one at their cost…..if they were smart. 😊
