BT TV Box & BT Sport review

I watched Chelsea V Leicester last night, fantastic picture, better than BBC HD terrestrial channels imo. The BT Sport shows are also very good, good punditry etc. Well worth the money.

Like your good self, I've taken the plunge and ordered the top package, BT TV Total Entertainment for £15 a month. Again, like you, I was looking for some reviews of the product and luckily found yours. I have to say I like your down to earth approach to reviewing the product / service and found it very helpful to me. I made this video because i don't like wading through endless web pages to get package information, and when I was thinking of getting this system I couldn't find a simple all-in-one video showing me how it all works. Very good review. One recommendation, a review of the Subtitle feature for Deaf/Hard of Hearing people. I'm actually looking into this now as my wife is deaf, and don't want her to miss out on the content. Our current Sky box does a good job of having a Highlight TV guide to indicate which shows are subtitled, but do an awful job of subtitling some of the live TV, catch up and Sky Go app. I guess they're to busy deciding how many ad's to stick on the content. I might re-do this video cos i've found out more about the box now (and i coudl make it way shorter). The main thing i didnt figure out about the catchup btw is that it is all done via the individual TV companies channel 'players' which i didnt say in the video. So when you go back in time the programmes you can PLAY are those supported by bbc iplayer, itv-player, ch4-player & channel-5-player, and any sub channels owned by those 4, but the EGP conveniently puts it all together in an easy to work with guide. You dont have to go to each individual Player app for each tv company, load it, find the show and play, you just used the normal tv guide on the Youview box & it merges that in with the terrestrial tv channel guide.., it's clever.

I'm a BT Infinity customer (70mbps) but I don't have BT TV, just regular Freeview with a Humax HDR-2000T box. The interface, menus, functions etc., all look the same making me think this is basically a re-branded Humax box with some extra channels. One of the biggest gripes with catch-up on the Humax is that from pressing the button to select and play a 'catch-up program', it can take 3, 4 or even 5 minutes from pressing the button before your chosen program starts playing! Is there a long delay with the BT TV box?

i have bt tv but the slightly smaller box that still records, ive noticed the remote is quite slow and unresponsive at times for me, and the whole product feels cheap and flimsy. i have the bt infinity 1 (hub 5) package thats meant to have 50mbps but alot of the time thats not my speed and i struggle tp online game. :(

Great vid, nice one! For those of us not lucky enough to be able to access Infinity and it's superior Mbps rate, would you say BT TV is worth getting? I'm worried that the 10-17mbps that they say I will receive will render the box a slow, clunky piece of plastic that will frustrate no end. In short how reliant on a high internet speed is BT TV?

Hi I have ordered BT tv I am with virgin at min virgin too expensive. I hope I will like BT tv being used with virgin the only thing that is worrying me is lack of tuners to record more content are you happy with BT still. Thanks.

Is it just me or has the youtube notification changed? Now it looks different and I can't reply straight in the notification dropdown. Clicking on a post will force that video to load and I have to reply there. It's totally useless. I can't take posts away either. Did I do something or has notifications really changed to this style over all? Anyone got knowledge?
