Professor Jin seems very on top of China's development, strategy, failures and successes, and she's smart and unbiased enough to paint a more complete picture of China than most of the scholars could. Frankly some of the Chinese scholars in China could not see things as clear and deep as she does. I'm very impressed with her. This is a great video and interview!

Keyu Jin does a good job of not falling about laughing at the utter incompetence of the Trump administration.

She's cooler than a cucumber and sharper than a razor! It's so good to hear the thoughts of a rational mind during irrational and turbulent behavior coming out of Washington. I feel that a peaceful resolution is possible if the US Congress and courts can restrain Trumpian impulses. There's a better path through peace and trade.

China's culture, customs, traditions date back Thousands of years. They've seen and been through Warring Empires, Colonialism, and Communism. I think a little trade war is not gonna hurt them as a nation.

China's greatest benefit is that they can pursue long-term goals and with efficiency. Western democracies are so caught up in neoliberalism and short-term financial goals-, and political power, that proper long-term political vision is hard to execute. (in a ever-changing political climate)
