I like the 90 degree cable, because it doesn’t stick out. I love a clean work station and it is less noticeable going straight back. Now add magnetic connection… That would be amazing.

Putting the cable in the wrong way is not Razer's problem 🤣. I love the 90 degree angle, great for cable management.

I've been using Razer since 2016, being lucky enough to upgrade every two years. I'm in that niche that values build quality and size as much as power. The extra cost and slight performance drop was always worth it.

That said, with much as I want the 16 I think the price has just gotten too high. Especially with how much better the build quality and size has gotten on Windows laptops in the past 6-7 years. Also with just how good the Macbook pro have gotten, this is going to be one of the hardest years to decide what I'm upgrading to.

i had my eye on this one but like most of the 40 series laptops, the prices are ridiculous - will be waiting a few months and if the prices don't drop i'll have to get last year's model :/

I have a blade 15 with a 2080 and the thing gets insanely hot. Is the thermal solution any better for this updated model?

On the one hand I’m genuinely glad they’ve made serious amendments to synapse for actual battery control now, giving users the choice between a 50 and 80% charge when connected to AC, thereby reducing the chances of battery swelling almost entirely. I’m also really glad they’ve sacrificed the stupid (imo) approach in trying to be the thinnest and lightest gaming laptop brand, and actually giving their laptops a great cooling solution, it only means you have a laptop that lasts longer into the future.
But I can’t help but wonder who would spend this sort of money, unless you’re unfazed by a £4000 price tag. I would have considered the laptop if perhaps the mini led display would have trickled into the ‘ entry’Configs with the 4060 and 4070, but no, you have to dish out £3599 on the 4080 model to get access to a feature on my refurbished £1439 14 inch MacBook Pro.
Coming from someone who still owns a late 2020 blade 15 (GTX 1660 Ti) that still runs flawlessly.

@3:30 c'mon that is totally subjective. i for one think the 90° to the back curved power connector is a big plus for the razer. because in 99% of cases i want the power cord to go where i cant see it and i wont accidentally put pressure on it (that is straight to the back)

Got the RTX 4070 spec, and in love with it! Just replaced my blade 14 GTX 1060, of course it’s a massive upgrade, probably going to replace this until they released an arms based that massively improved it’s battery not compromising power, but I digress, nonetheless, those 16:10🔥🔥🔥

Just ordered ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17, 17, 3" QHD 240 hz Display, Ryzen 9 7945HX, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, RTX 4090 16 GB Vram for 3500 USD/ 3299€
I think that is way better value given the 4090 and the other specs

Astounding performance. Equally astounding price. It’s a freakin gaming laptop that is outdated in 1-2 years when new CPU’s and GPU’s are launched. $4, 300 is absolutely insane. I have an older blade 15 and yeah the build is nice… but the black metal gets scratched and chipped STUPID easy. So the actually durability isn’t great. Dave2D mentioned this as well. I hope this laptop fails miserably by not selling any units forcing Razer to come back down to earth with this pricing.
