I know I might be the only one but i love the more cartoony 2013 than the simple and modest 2023 as a fantasy character they should be more unrealistic as possible

Loved the hype around this release too! I think this set is more appropriately based off of the “Act of true love”/ “The Great Thaw” scenes rather than the epilogue, so the lack of Anna’s hat, mittens, and white streak are accurate in that case. Annoying that the box art shows the epilogue though :/

Thanks for comparing them! Love the new Anna over the old in almost every way! I don’t typically debox so the way her outfit lays is lovely, and the sculpt has much improved.

Overall I think I love the OG Elsa more. The new sculpt is stunning, and yes, more accurate with the hair and skin color. Love the cape and sleeve embroidery. But I can’t get over the cheap bodice construction and I’m not a fan of the darker, more saturated dress.

I agree with you on wishing for a more unique take for the anniversary. And I can’t believe it’s been 10 years and they still think 3k dolls is enough 😂

I think they are both beautiful in their own way but the new one is a little bit more detailed

The newer dolls are everything. Perfection. Glad I wasn’t someone who paid thousands for the the first one. These were worth waiting the ten years for them to get them right

Thanks so much for comparing the new set to the original dolls. I have the original dolls, and just ordered this new set on eBay for $60 above retail. So that’s not too bad considering I normally paid double what the retail was for the sets in the past.

I'm happy with the new set. I missed the first set and refuse to pay ebay prices. I was able to purchase this set at Disney World after it sold out online when I waited three minutes in the waiting room and then it sold out. I was so bummed. But it worked out better not purchasing online since I saved 20% with my annual DW pass. I like both the older and new set. I do like the older Elsa dress better though. Otherwise, I like everything more on the new set.

I just got my dolls today and I love them! I have the originals too, and I think I may still prefer them but nostalgia is probably a factor. I also prefer the OG Elsa’s face sculpt, but like the new Anna face more than her original. One thing that annoys me though is the fact that the little plastic tags have pulled at the satin on the new Elsa’s dress, leaving horrible little holes too. 🙄 Hopefully it’s not too bad on your doll.

These dolls are expensive, please do better, Disney!

New is so much better and if you disagree it’s because you have owners bias or nostalgia goggles on. New improves literally on EVERY element. The old is ugly tbh. Like it looks nothing like the character only a vague vision of it. Like if you squint hard at the OG doll she looks great… but looking at her as an adult, she’s awful compared to this gorgeous perfect new doll.

Please do a photo sesión of the Anna from Frozen 2 (loose hair) but with the Frozen 1 epilogue (green one) like in the painting Elsa look at the wall on “Into the unknown”
