I still don't know how to use this in most sentences because the two english sentences you gave aren't popular sentences. I hardly hear people hear say for being... some better sentences are I want this for my room. I want to eat soup for dinner. Who is this for? Prepare for the storm. I've waited for 5 hours. Go for a walk. See who that's for. Those are every day sentences whereas your examples weren't really.
