As a long time Republican supporter, I found that the values of the party have been totally replaced by racism, provincialism, fascism and ignorance. Our values were used to be self reliance, entrepreneurship, hard working, pragmatism, small government, individualism, internationalism, freedom of thought, common civility, and fiscal responsibility. Now what? Nothing left!

I was a Republican, but as soon Trump hijacked this party, I left. Look at the convention, it's like a family convention. So sad. 😥

I'm 32, part of the millennial generation. A moderate. A Veteran. And I'm about to graduate from college. What I see in the Republican party today is:
-An abject and utter failure in leadership, when held to any standard I was taught in military service.
-An embrace of Authoritarian government counter to our democratic ideals.
-A nativist and racial sentiment which undermines both our immigrant story and demonizes current migrants.
-A hypocritical approach to morality.
-A willingness to curry fear and stoke division for political gain.
I see today's Republican's as weak and a stain upon their once cherished ideals and principals. They embrace a man who is counter to their own once-held beliefs, painting them as a political force which should be abolished for the good of this nation. Today's true Republican can only face acceptance to a cult, or leave their party and reform something they can once again be proud of.

Trump has no desire to actually govern. He just doesn't want to lose.

The country is becoming more diverse and minority communities especially young people will probably never vote Republican ever. Economics don't mean any if you feel your life doesn't matter. Conservative policies in the 21st century has not been proven effective and do not resonate with a good majority of Americans anymore young and old.
