Raja even said that his party colleague and Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's comments on 'Sanatana Dharma' were "soft".

Tamil Nadu is the state with maximum number of Hindu temples and an average tamilian is a deeply religious and yet secular. We don't need the northerners to lecture us on religion and badmouth our leaders.

In sanatana, there are Vedas and Upanishads but never in any literature they have mentioned caste system. (Yes there is a varna system but that is based on your job duty such as kshahtriyas and vaishyas but it was not caste based, it's duty based). Even ved vyas was a fisherman who later become a rishi and wrote vedas. We celebrate ved vyas even today wirhout considering his caste. And sanatana offers chances for even fisherman to turn maha rishis even 5000 years ago. Caste system came in to existence around 1300-1400 and strengthened further under British rule. It has notbing to do with sanatana shashtra.

For ex, westerners fought two world wars. But we can't blame it on Christianity for that. Christinity teaches peace and sympathy and kindness but it's the people who create wars, just like people creating castes. If anyone want to eradicate caste system, they just have to make a law amandment and ask people not to mention their caste identity anywhere and give no caste based allocation and it's easy when you are in power. But why attack sanatana in such lower standards?
