Dear Brother, Jared. I wanted to check your past teaching on Enos to get deeper into the scripture. I feel more of an innocence as you are teaching here. Thank you for the opportunity to return to a simpler type of teaching. I crave the more in-depth teaching that you use now. But, I feel the beautiful words of the Lord sinking into my soul, with more understanding and faith as a result. Sincerely, Carol Merrill

Times are tough right now for me, I hope one day I can look back on these times fondly but for now I must have faith.

Thanks so very much for the immense love by which you teach us the ways of God. Once again, my mind has been open to understanding the true ways of God as I hope to bring all my inactive children back to the covenant path.

Joyfully preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ will not only invite others to come willingly, but may help to soften their hearts.

Also, the phrase of Joyfully teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ reminded me of the verse in the hymn, "We are All Enlisted".

"We are all enlisted till the conflict is o’er;
are we! Happy are we!
in the army, there’s a bright crown in store;
shall win and wear it by and by.
to the battle, quick to the field;
is our helmet, buckler, and shield.
by our colors; proudly they wave!
joyfully, joyfully marching to our home. ..."
(1st Verse)

And:
"Fighting for a kingdom, and the world is our foe;
are we! Happy are we!
to join the army, we will sing as we go;
shall gain the vict’ry by and by.
may gather—why should we fear?
our Leader, ever is near.
will protect us, comfort, and cheer.
joyfully, joyfully marching to our home."
(3rd & last verse).

I've thought at times about the repetitive nature of prayers that we give. My perspective is that our interaction with others is not always deep and sincere. If I'm in a hurry to leave for work in the morning, I don't have a deep conversation with my wife about our relationship and all of the blessings that come with it. I still tell her that I love her and give her a kiss. This is not a profound communication, but is still an important part of maintaining a healthy marriage. It may be the same way with God. We aren't always able to offer to deepest, most sincere prayers, but He still has the expectation that we pray, and it is still an important part of the relationship. We need to take time for the deep and sincere prayers, but I believe that the short and more repetitive prayers are also appreciated by Him as long as we have the intent to maintain the relationship.

This was a pleasure to relisten to again. I loved the art that was prepared to go with it and I enjoyed the lesson so much. I’m sure I’ll be listening to both original channel videos and newer channel videos. I have the time to do so and it helps my testimony so much.

I picked this podcast to listen to at random today. My heart has been hurting for a family member who has turned away and become shaken by the world issues today, and I feel like my efforts have been “in vain” trying to help them see truth. This podcast given a year ago answered a very desperate prayer today. Thank you for your inspired words. You helped heal my heart.

I always believed that Enos went hunting for the Lord more than hunting for beast.

I really like how you dissect these chapters. However more than that, I appreciate how you cross reference information. It tells me, rather, reinforces the fact that the BoM is not a book in isolation of itself. These chapters are interconnected because the basic experiences from these people are the same: for the love of God, for the want of God, for the forgiveness of God. I also very much appreciate the stories you tell of how the BoM is personally affecting you and how you can personally relate to what you are teaching through personal experience. (rather overused the word personal but I hope you get my meaning even though I don't use the language very well).
