Enid Blyton's Five on Finniston Farm - as a multi-actor audiobook play. Book 18 of the original Famous Five series written in 1960.

There's a ruined castle on Finniston Farm! But only the dungeons remain - and nobody knows where they are. The Famous Five are determined to find them and whatever is hidden there. But with a rich American family staying at the farm, they're not alone in their hunt...

It is abridged byJohn Lewis with a 68 minute running time, the story still works well with enough tension and drama. These shorter dramatizations are ideal for 'reading' in a single sitting and are great for relaxing bedtime, or car journeys with kids. Recorded/released by Hodder Children's Audiobooks, performed by Nick McArdle, J Nigel Pegram and Jonathan Keble; with Rowan d'Albert as Julian, Adam Free-Paske as Dick, Jo Thurley as George, and Scarlett Strallen as Anne.

This is shared from a recording of a cassette tape, so lots of old-fashioned tape noises, but still listenable and an enjoyable telling for childhood nostalgia and relaxation or for excitement in new generation of imaginative listeners.

I love this one. I can still see the images the tape created in my head when I was younger. Another great share thank you, Rene :)

Thank you for uploading this!! I wonder who thought "Ginger Beer" was too racy a term and changed it to "Ginger Pop". Lashings of leafy green vegetable, meat product and ginger pop. In this book, Blyton went overboard with her negative American stereotyping. She had never visited it, of course, scarcely ever having left Britain in her entire life, but she was surprisingly confident that she knew all about them. She had no problem selling books to America, however. Sort of like selling those valuable antique privy seats and then complaining afterward about it. :)
