If a dressmaker wants to sell dresses at the same prices regardless of size that's completely their right and it's completely maintainable if done with tact

There's a whole lot of obsession of "how dare she NOT charge more for plus sizes" ... dude, let her do her thing. She's figured out how it works for her business and that's all that matters.

Damn, 9 months later and people still getting in their feels about my comment 😂

As a person who worked in a dress shop the whole “more fabric equals more money” isn’t necessarily true, if anything more fabric equals more discounts

She is the dressmaker, it’s her product, her inventory, so she can decide what she wants to charge it. “The fashion industry long ago agreed to give the same price to clothing regardless of size, essentially amortizing the higher cost of materials for larger sizes. Fabric is bought in bulk when creating apparel. The more fabric a company buys, the larger the discount they get on that fabric.“

Plus size being more expensive makes sense tho, its way more fabric

Edit: I’m not mad that shes not charging more btw, her pushing the narrative that thats unfair to plus sized people is what I am disagreeing with

As a plus size person I very much understand it being more expensive. Fabric is expensive

People saying to charge more for plus sizes because the amount of fabric used, don't understand buying bulk fabrics. You buy by the type and amount of fabric, then the yield of completed outfits is where you price to make a profit. Not fabric per outfit.

Why is everyone mad because she doesn't make plus size people pay more??? That's so weird 😭😭

After reading the comments, I think it would be interesting for a clothing brand owner to make a video explaining the reasoning behind marking a price for an article of clothing beyond the amount of fabric that's been used. I'm almost certain that there's a lot more that goes into pricing something other than how much material was used.

(Fabric prices don’t go based on individual garments. Big brands buy everything in bulk, so using a little extra fabric actually doesn’t change the cost of production much if at all. That’s why companies buy in bulk. If it actually mattered, for example, you would see medium tshirts selling for more than x smalls, except you don’t. You usually only see it for 3X and above. It’s a racquet to justify overcharging a certain demographic.)

People in the comments don't need to explain to the LITERAL SEAMSTRESS why charging more for larger sizes is a makes sense. Also
1) it's her business
And, 2) the point of a making a size inclusive brand is so that anyone can get clothes that make them happy without feeding any sense of exclusion based on their size

I mean, I do get the the "charging more for bigger sizes" thing since more fabric and sewing is needed
Edit: dayum guys! Stop fighting! Like ofc clothes in larger sizes cost more for the garments and labour cost. And charging the same costs mean the'll sell overpriced small size dresses which is unfair for people of smaller size!

The people saying the bigger sizes should be sold for more money also want to pay more for different shoe sizes, I guess
Most brands can easily charge the same price for bigger clothes, because they are selling the clothes for much more than they should. Yes, the labor costs money, but companies don't really pay the people doing the work and overcharge the clothing anyway. And when it comes to a cautious brand like the one of the creator here, she has obviously noticed for herself that it's fine when she doesn't upcharge for bigger clothes and still earns enough money

This makes me so happy being a bigger size myself, seeing dress brands take into account other sizes than EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA smalls

By the logic in this comments section, size Ms should be charged more than size Ss, size Ss should be charged more than size XSs, so and so forth. Come on man, be for real.

What I love is seeing the models in all the sizes bc it makes it easier for us to pick out our own size ❤❤

I swear yall just find reasons to make things problematic. There’s nothing wrong with her not charging more for plus size. If anything’s it’s super nice of her. Leave her alone

As a plus-size person, THANK YOU for not charging more for bigger sizes 💜💜💜💜 On top of everything else we tend to deal with, fatphobia and stigmatization present in most (if not all) of them, bigger people typically don't see a lot of nice-looking clothes that fit us (without charging a million dollars for it, of course). It's wonderful to see a company working towards size equality for all 💜💜💜

I just checked the website and the dresses are already in the hundreds so she's making a profit whether it's plus sized inclusive or not 😅

As a woman that wears a 4x I have literally never been more excited in my life! Most brands sell "plus size clothes" that are still made for skinny people but just made wider. They're not made for us. I can't wait to check out your dresses!!
Edit: SHE DOESN'T CHARGE MORE FOR BIGGER SIZES???? THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!
