you riders need to realize both companies are losing money due to the fact that they are providing a service for less than its worth. raise the fares and lose the poor basterds who should not be using the service in the first place. they have cut drivers earning 25% since i started. it is a joke how little people pay. i make 2.40 on short rides and cheap folks dont tip.- wake up and realize taxis are 3 times more expensive becuz the service is actually worth something. uber is not for the poorest nor the cheapskates. they will fail unless they raise rates and pay for good drivers

Uber and lyft just gotta lower commission like back I started. Just make it 20%-25% commission rate. When drivers happy no one gotta be employee. It can save lots company's expensive and make drivers flexible.

B.S. as they can't break even at all and can't cover there drivers for simple stuff of giving them protection and benefits. Of affordable health care and insurance and vehicle maintenance. $21 is a insult as they can't decide what to do if they want a wage or be contractor's and keep getting screwed so that they can be wipe out and on to self driving cars. So that this can keep going strong and Uber and Lyft rides are the future if they have one at all!
