RFK Jr. is 'a little bit different'

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed that he abandoned a dead bear cub in Central Park, an incident believed to have taken place in 2014. "I think this really points to the degree to which Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is just a little bit different," says NBC News Senior National Politics Reporter Jonathan Allen.

I think you missed the story. Junior had plenty of opportunity to take the bear home and stuff it in a freezer if he wanted to. He chose to go out for dinner, drinks, and a late evening with friends instead. That's pretty irresponsible. Then he left the bear in a public park for NYC to deal with. It upset the person who found it, disrupted the activity of people who normally use that part of the park, prompted an investigation, and required the equivalent of an autopsy. All this cost the city money. The disposal of a bear carcass on public property is beyond irresponsible, and no doubt criminal. The city and state should file civil charges and seek damages and a penalty. This wasn't a weird prank, it was the act of an insufferably privileged fool who still doesn't understand that he did anything wrong.

Ten years later he "comes clean" about this to preempt its disclosure in the New Yorker. He still doesn't really take responsibility for doing anything wrong. Makes you wonder if he hit the bear with his car, and doesn't want to own up to it because it will make him look even worse.
