EVERYONE in the industry gets plastic surgery. It's just a question of how big of a difference it is. If an idol changes gradually over time, the changes aren't as noticeable. It's only when you look at their pre-debut photos from years ago that you'll see they've changed.

what I don't understand is that when a kpop idol does not do surgery, and they look ugly, people hate on them, but when they do get surgery, they get hated on for that also. I don't understand, every idol is pretty in every way. nobody is going to be perfect.

The plastic surgery culture is getting out of hand. Honestly, some get good plastic surgery while others just look worse. Kwanghee honestly does not look that bad. The worst surgeries and worst result I would say is 2NE1 Park Boom, Apink Naeun and Namjoo. LIke their faces look plastic and uoriginal.

It almost feels like Korean society as a whole is compelled to belittle everyone's appearance (especially when they themselves are lacking) no matter what. It's a zero win situation. Just overrun with jealousy and pettiness. You have to be extremely salty to put down beautiful people and say they're ugly or overweight and need surgery.

Lizzy’s story just really breaks my heart… because the industry + netizens really did chew her up and spit her out. It doesn’t help that her company failed her and the other AS members so badly. Like they really did let netizens and bloggers slander these women and make malicious comments about them left + right. They also threw them on shows where the MC’s were notorious for just being scumbags. Like the amount of times they went on shows only for the MC’s to essentially be like “aren’t you jealous that Nana/Uee/Jooyeon are prettier than you?” and other backhanded things. They were all made to feel inadequate and less than constantly which really did numbers on all of them. Lizzy used to be so sweet and bubbly when she first debuted… and you just slowly witness that bright girl losing her spark. Hate that she resorted to alcohol to cope too. And before anyone says that I’m making excuses for her DUI I’m not. You can disapprove of someone’s actions while also pitying the things that got them to where they are.

Companies need to start protecting their idols and talents! Stop letting them get dragged through the mud and actually have their backs! 🤬
