I was in floods of tears watching this with my girlfriend 23 years ago, it was a great lesson - thankfully she married me, and we are still together, but this film always brings me back to realizing how precious she is to me, what life would be life when she's gone, and how I blessed I am now, to spend every cherished second with her. Treasure every minute with your loved one, if you find too many of your cares, and attentions, and too much time is now being occupied with other people, and things.. (like being on youtube too long!) realize time just leaves you, (23 years since this film) they will not be here forever, and you don't want to spend the rest of your life looking back remembering with regrets... This is easily one of my favorite musical scores of all time! The way it fits with every single scene, and really just how it all works with every emotional moment in the film. It’s a gut wrenching movie.

Probably the most beautifully touching, surprising, horrifying, saddest, colorful, welcoming, happiest, scariest, foreboding, longing for, yet hopeful movies I'm ever seen. It makes me wonder what heaven is like. I want to see my dog Betsy again. I miss my grandpa and grandma. I miss my stepfather. I miss my great grandmother and grandfather. I have a lot of questions!

I watched this movie when I was 14 and it set up shop in my heart and never left. 22 years later I listen to the music just to recapture that feeling of awe and wonder knowing I was witnessing such a feat of love and beauty. I still recommend this movie to people, like 'Please watch it! You don't know what you missed!'. I think it represents a truth about the kind of love that many people want so much but don't know how to find.

"What Dreams May Come" is a very touching picture about the life after death, starring the great Robin Williams. The musical score by Michael Kamen wasn't the first choice for the filmmakers. In fact, there has been a rejected score by Ennio Morricone. Suprisingly Kamen's score reminds me of the Morricone style sometimes. Coincidence?
However, it is a fine, subtle and emotional score. Enjoy!

A couple months back I sat with what I still feel is my soulmate. It was her first time seeing it. I had decided to show her it as it was one of my favorites and I had seen it a hundred times with my mother when I was younger and wondered why she’d cry all the time. Now I know.

I cried through out the entire movie. Beginning to end finally realizing why my mother had cried. I looked at my wife and knew I’d do the same for her. I’d walk through hell for her just to have a chance to get her back.

He says a line that made us cry, if I can find you in hell don’t think I won’t find you in New Jersey. We’re both from jersey. Now we’re not together anymore and it makes me cry for another reason entirely. 😢

Der wohl beeindruckendste Film zu denThemen Himmel, Hölle, Karma, Seelenwanderung, Seelenverwandtschaft, ewiges Liebe, spirituelle Bedeutung füreinander, Suicid, ewige Glücksseligkeit mit einer glücks- und harmoniebringendenden Begleitmusik trotzdem eine Warnung: Die sehr verstörenden Bilder und Metapher über die Hölle könnten empfindsame Zuseher Angst einflössen, besonders Kindern---einfach überspielen ! Der Schluss ist dafür wieder wunderschön, auch die wunderschöne Musik, die im Abspann noch einmal zur Gänze gespielt wird, wird zum Ohrwurm. Abschliessend möcht ich meinen: Es ist ein Film, der keinen kalt lässt und die wichtigsten Fragen des Lebens beantworten kann, jedenfalls besser als so manche Religion.
