In this video, I'll teach you what KEEP UP WITH means and give you some examples. There is a common phrase- keep up with the Joneses. The Joneses would be a family. This phrase means= to show that one is as good as other people by getting what they have and doing what they do. For example: Lana tries to keep up with the Joneses. Even though she isn't rich, she tries to buy things that others have and do things that they do too. We could also say something like: Lana cares what her neighbors think of her, so she tries to keep up with them. If they buy a new car, she does too. If they go on an expensive vacation, she does too.
