The eddy current method can be used for very different applications. In this video we would like to show how the eddy current signal can be used to measure the electrical conductivity of non-ferrous material. In further videos we will speak about other use cases of eddy current and other non-destructive testing methods. Additionally, we will of course also show the application of various FOERSTER devices.

My name is Manfred Schmitz and I have been working in the field of non-destructive testing since 2014. NDT is an extremely exciting field for me because of the wide range of applications. The scope from "testing" people by CT (computed tomography) or medical ultrasound to materials testing with eddy current is incredible.

Hey there!
I know that for example duraluminium 2024 with different type of heat treatment has different kind conductivity, because it depends of cristal lattice.
So it is possible find out not only cracks and corrosion in this material but the abnormal ambient heat collision.
Thanks

Great video, Could I use this type to test the bare copper conductor or a 17mm copper rod which has round shape?
