Great video Adrian. Always good to have a refresher and reminder to stay the course. Covered call ETFs are great.

Good day Adrian - just a question for clarification regarding covered calls - If the strike price is hit (i.e. the stock price rises above the strike price) we have to sell our shares at that strike price and still collect our premiums and whatever dividends - BUT - doesn't this "deplete" the number of shares we have over time as compared to say just when the option expires etc. (If the option just expires we still get the premiums + dividends + still retain the share) - Thus we loose a share(s|) and any future dividends - If shares are depleted it cuts into the dividend income part of the income portfolio 🤔🤔🤔

How much is the income impacted during down markets? There's one coming at some point. I assume it's only the premiums that would be the income so not sure that we be much money. Wish he would do a video of bear markets and show some historical data on how covered calls performed for different funds.

21:39 Thank you so much for this ETF101, Adriano!
By the way, is there a Canadian covered call ETF that combines energy and utility stocks with a good yield? Please advise. Thanks!

Thanks Adrian. I understand the CC process and am looking to invest in one of the high income share funds. I have a question: what happens when the fund manager(s) are unsuccessful in making enough on CC's in any given month to pay the stated dividend? As I understand it they return some of your equity ROC. Does this not dilute your stake in the fund. Over time a long time, is this a big risk factor. Thank you . David. As a Canadian how can you find what your effective yeild is after all taxes - US and Canadian? Lots of ask here. Apologies.

Is SPYT tax efficient? I see ROC for 2024 is 82%.
My concern is does this erode NAV?
