Ahead of the key opposition meeting in Bengaluru on Tuesday, political circles are abuzz about Janata Dal United (JDS) striking a deal with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The talks between the JDS and BJP are underway, sources told India Today.

If the deal goes through, then either JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy could be offered the post of central minister (Rajya Sabha seat) or he would be made United Leader of Opposition in Karnataka, sources said. However, there might be legal implications for the same.
