Abelhawk's Warcraft III Easter Eggs: Complete Edition

My magnum opus.

My channel first got discovered exactly 6 years ago when I stumbled upon some never-before-explored Easter eggs in my favorite PC RTS game. Since then, I've learned a lot about video editing, voiceover work, and game design, and have found and was shown many more Easter eggs to showcase. This is the result of all that work.

Thanks so much to all of my members, past and present, who gave me the motivation to keep working on stuff like this, as well as anyone else who gave encouraging and helpful comments. About the Goblin Laboratory: In RoC they weren't invulnerable. That was added in TFT. When editing the unit to remove the Reveal, they made it override the standard abilities, which meant overriding the invulnerability. This also happens with Grom, Tyrande and the Keepers. In RoC Heroes had inventories by default, but in TFT they turned the inventory into an ability. Since those heroes had their abilities changed for those maps, the newly added Inventory ability was also overriden. This happened when Blizzard decided to replace the MPQ files system with the CASC one

- You're not alone at being very nitpicky about faction colors.
- Reforged replaced the blue trolls with green trolls in the second human mission.
- Reforged also fixed Shandris being an archer in NE mission 1.

This video had me in absolute awe. The thought that I was able to find most of the gameplay easter eggs when I was a kid somehow makes me proud. Although, it makes sense as I typically like to explore as much as I am able to in every game that I play. I guess old habits die hard.

In the last night elves quest called, stormrage brothers, you forgot that for Malfurion's side, near some trees where his beloved Tyrande is, you can find healing wards hidden in the trees. You forgot a secret, champ.

You forget about Jim Henson's "The Dinos", and the science-TV-show skit where the scientist always uses a little kid called Timmy to do the experiments who... tends to explode, and then uses the running-gag line of "We need another Timmy!"
Timmys being used to triggers in this game are easily relatable to that: "We need another trigger, so we need another Timmy!"
The undead Timmy also fits as a South Park reference at the same time.

Fun fact: The Pandaren were originally planned to be the Alliance Race added in The Burning Crusade, before someone pointed out that the Pandaren lacked any motivation to fight the Horde. Thus, the redesigned Draenei.

1:12:30 You only pointed it out for this map, and it might be obvious, but I'd like to mention that there are a few maps in wc3 that are pretty much copies of earlier starcraft maps, such as
March of the Scourge -> Desperate Alliance
The Spirits of Ashenvale -> The Kel-Morian Combine
A Dark Covenant -> Fury of the Swarm
King Arthas -> Eye for an Eye
Dreadlord's Fall -> True Colours, which you mentioned

there's also a few maps that just seem quite similiar but I can't say why. Like Where Wyverns Dare always reminded me of Ruins of Tarsonis.

1:17:39 To be fair, WoW changed so much in the terms of story and lore that a person who only occasionally gets a glance at it and only knows the story from the RTS series can get quite confused.

If any remember Tales of the Past, the WoW machinima. Arthas actually says "I'm so tired" at the end. Someone must have also been digging around and found that line and put it in as a nod. Would have never guessed that until now.
