For people saying that WaddleDeeKnows is Jon from GVG, formerly from Nintendo Life and "the old place": Yes, he created the account of WaddleDeeKnows as a parody and that's why DYKG chose to use that name, Jon was NOT the so-called leaker.

I cannot overstate how amazing this channel’s switch to investigative journalism is. Incredible work guys.

The fact some random person was able to send a logo directly to IGN with no other sources and cause a massive rumor like this is hysterical. Peak gaming journalism.

My biggest take away from this video is that the Starlink racing mode looks really fun

DidYouKnowGaming is uncovering things that have been hidden beneath layers of secrecy for sometimes even decades where most people thought finding the truth would be a lost cause. The amount of work you're putting into this is amazing.

This video is why I love this channel so much! I was never much of a Starfox fan nor did I even know about this rumor - but the hours of research and following up with real game developers is unmatched! This is the "true crime podcast" of the gaming world and everybody should appreciate it way more!

I'd never heard of this rumor, but the amount of dedication that had to go into disentangling everything when so much information conflicted, and frankly when so many people were lying, is laudable. I first started following the channel a few years ago for the trivia compilations, but it's come a long way since then.

Vergeben's record was FAR more spotty than the Master Chief thing. Spotty when it came to Smash info, even spottier when it came to other games. I hate that people gave him so much cred

Genuinely happy you're all able to use the goodwill you've built over the years to bring some real hard-hitting journalism to YouTube. Bless you all.

I like the frequent use of Starlink's racing footage during this video. For the longest time I figured that rumor was mistaken for Retro Studios to a crossover project by Ubisoft & Nintendo.

When I interviewed for a certain large gaming network YouTube channel (I sadly didn't end up getting the job), part of their process was having me write and record a fake gaming news update video about this exact game to test my capabilities. The idea that it could be real after potentially losing me a career is very funny.

I remember watching GameXplain do a whole discussion on this.

This is one of those rumors that I never believed, but I would have purchased if true.

I found it far more believable than that Pokémon Stars rumor, at least.

I really do wish Rogersbase could’ve come forward sooner to put this stuff to rest. Why didn’t he tell people that he made the logo as soon as it started getting passed around as authentic?

I have reasons to suspect that whatever Retro Studios was working on after Tropical Freeze, it was in development hell and Nintendo/Retro is doing everything they can to cover it up and avoid bad publicity.

The Metroid Prime 4 delay was the most significant update on Retro's development status, but it didn't answer the question what exactly have they been working on between 2014 and 2018.

One of those crazy concept rumored games that I STILL would’ve liked to see how it com to fruition, I mean that ending from Starfox Command where Fox and Falco join a G-Zero Grand Prix becoming an actual game just sounds so epic and would make that ending canon.

So happy I can FINALLY talk about this, LOL. Shout-outs to Dr. Lava for reaching out and double checking to make sure Star Fox Grand Prix was never actually a thing.
Now, can we all come together and ask Nintendo for Star Fox Assault 2? PLEASE AND THANK YOU!
