So let's take a look at The Big Short star’s $200 Million portfolio, a deep dive into the 16 stocks revealed by his latest US filing and also a stock that isn’t listed, one that’s hidden in UK regulatory filings.

The financial sector and derivatives may have a Hindenburg moment if the US Treasury market collapses.Rising market illiquidity in the $14.8 trillion U.S. Treasury market, according to Bank of America, might affect other financial markets.

BATS didn't slash their dividend. There was a stock split and they started to pay every quarter instead of twice a year. The dividend has not been reduced for the last 25 years,

You know there are pictures of the real Michael Burry, instead of using the actor Christian Bale.

I think what you may be missing about Gold is that it is not an investment exactly. It is money. It is money that does not devalue with inflation, like all paper money in circulation. So when inflation strikes the goods and services you can buy with paper money decreases in line with inflation. Whereas priced in Gold, the goods and services are not more expensive. If this thesis is correct, then while Gold is not productive and does not have a 'yield', compared to paper money it does have a yield, which is the inflation rate.

"Gold has no intrinsic value"? What about its use in electronics and jewelry--not to mention that its malleability and resistance to tarnishing make it an ideal form of money.

Whether or not Burry is a perma-bear as some like to say on here, I like the approach he takes to stock-picking. It’s refreshing and helpful to see his 13F filings as I’ve made a few decisions very similar to his in the past couple of years. Turned out well so far but you do have to be more active on these picks than the average investor would like.

Every tweet he makes it’s just material for you guys. As soon as he predicts another collapse you guys run and make a video about it. I get it… he’s a genius for seeing the 2008 collapse ahead of everyone else. But other than that, what other genius moves has me made? He’s a very odd investor, very unpredictable. Goes all in on a particular stock and then 3 months later completely exits his position. Forever he will be a legend for predicting the housing bubble and a lot of people follow him to see whats his next prediction is and also for YouTubers to make another video on what he said or on what he just tweeted.

Banks are buying gold and other Precious Metals because of they have remained stable or appreciated in this shambolic times with these banks collapsing, META down 40k, ALLP down 35k, Draft Kings down 6k, NIO down 15K, ABML down 8k, and my wife doesn’t know. I'm just hanging on to Jim Cramer's words about opportunities in volatile times so perhaps, I either wait for a recovery or pick profitable investments to substitute for my loss.

BATS didn´t cut their dividend in 2017. They changed from 2 dividend payments a year, to 4.
They also did a stock split.
They are 1 year away from being a dividend aristocrat and they have an interesting payout ratio compared to their free cash flow.

Nice video despiste that error !!!
Keep them coming.

This will be his 3rd collapse call in 2 years. Of course you'll be right if you call it every year

Gold and silver in measured in troy ounces not standard ounces. And 400 troy oz works out to roughly 12.5 kilos or 27.5 pounds.

Not sure how gold is taxed in your country. In Germany it's tax free after 1year. Meaning we do not pay 25% capital gains tax. include this vs. your dividends and gold offers you a 10 to 12% real performance

One thing to keep in mind with gold is' it goes up in value versus the dollar because the dollar depreciates. When the Fed says its pegging inflation at 2% they are telling you, that they are depreciating the dollar by 20% over the next 10 years.. Thats if you believe the Governments numbers. So it takes more dollars to buy the same amount of gold. Of course speculation, manipulation through the paper market, supply and demand all play a factor but if you compare gold to the stock market it does do better. If your stocks (say during the housing crash of 08) drop 50%; how much and how long does it take you get back to even? I will take my 25% spikes in Gold (every bubble) over the 15 years it takes you to make back your lost 50% in the stock market. When the stock markets are crashing Gold is spiking due to market nervousness. Look at the historical price of gold over a 100 years. The notion that Gold has no intrinsic value is just plain false as its also used in manufacturing and has never gone to 0. Now that Gold is used in electronics makes it even more valuable. You are conflating compound interest on a stock from dividends and saying Gold has no intrinsic value. Gold has its own Compounding just with the fiat currency constant depreciation. I don't care if its 2% or 8% inflation your dollar is losing its value. Its why Gold was 300+ an oz in the 70's/80's and is closing in on $2500/oz now. Show me a situation where gold drops back to $300/oz?

In monetary history, 100% of currencies fail (100%!!! Since the Roman times) When it does, you want to own gold/silver because is real money, not fiat money. Or you want to use gold/silver to exchange for the new currency (if happens).

I love how so many are so terrified of a crash they can only lash out and make fun of people. Most here have only seen stocks go up in theur trading lives. Most are so scared of what is coming and cannot be stopped. Its ok when something really bad happens most people scream or freeze and do not know what to do. Few will act instantly accordingly. Most would rather never think of bad things that can happen. Me i prefer to be prepaired for alot. My family refuses to speak of any of it. Thats ok because my kids will be stronger for it and will benefit from their dad not being afraid to think critically

Can you talk potentially about resources like GOLD/Palladium but as ETFs? Is there a real deal with not "owning" the physical gold?
