A WOMAN who lost her teeth at the age of 30, is normalising having dentures through TikTok. Alicia from New York first started noticing problems with her teeth at age 21. After four pregnancies she had lost all her teeth by age 30. She now proudly wears dentures and is using TikTok to normalise losing your teeth at a young age. She told Truly: “I began TikTok about a year ago. I started doing this to help myself heal and to see how far I could get with my own self-acceptance - and it turned into something much larger than I ever thought possible.” Alicia went viral on her TikTok, and now has over 2 million subscribers on her channel. Despite receiving some negative comments on her videos, Alicia refuses to let it affect her. She said: “Someone’s opinion on you, and their comments about you says more about them than you."

My husband has a full set of dentures. Before I met him, he was hit by a drunk driver at 18. The girl next to him (Dawn) was cut in half, she died, and he wasn't expected to live. He had to have multiple surgeries, including reconstructive surgery for his face. Life happens and you have to deal with the hand you were delt. Haters gonna hate, so don't worry about them.

It's kind of crazy how she said her teeth got weaker and weaker with each pregnancy. It's a known fact that fetuses will drain the calcium from the bones of their mother if they need it. Really goes to show how much our moms sacrifice for us, even before they have a choice. Shout out to this woman for being so brave, but also for being an amazing mom!

Everyone who works in dentistry: It's not catfishing, it's LITERALLY CALLED HEALTHCARE. Teeth are not an accessory. She needs them to talk and eat! Get regular check ups everyone, little problems don't have symptoms in teeth. Big problems either have symptoms or don't. You don't want a chronic tooth infection that drains out through your gums that you never realise because there is no pain, and no other symptom other than a little bit of bad breath and maybe a little pimple on the gums. I see this WEEKLY at my practice. The patient pretty much never knows.

Much respect to you. A few years back I had full spinal surgery and my teeth went bad because of it it's my body took so much calcium for my back to heal. I have suffered from low self-esteem after that. What you are doing is really great because you are helping so many women out. In today's times everyone is judging everyone and very few are building one another up
