the jazz rap songs are amazing imo and some of the most intricate jazz rap fusion I’ve ever heard

To me, it felt like kamasi maybe played it a bit safe on a lot of the tracks. Still, a 6 is a bit too harsh melon

Definitely more coherent than their last project. An unexpected release, but a welcome entry and one of the best Jazz releases in the last decade.

Even tho I personally disagree with this rating, people need to remember that you don’t go to a review to get your beliefs reinforced, you go for an opinion that you might disagree with.

Idk man, I think the switch up of styles amongst these tracks is great for keeping things fresh. Kamasi really ran his sound into the ground with his last LP and incorporating the different features and sounds into this album proved some fantastic versatility. I didn't want another Epic, and I'm glad he took a risk here

Wow. Great to see so many Kamasi fans here. I love him and have seen them live twice in Australia. Still working my way through this new album. Some brilliant moments and a couple of parts that don’t resonate much with me.
