The root problem of most hip labrum tears are weak glutes. Glutes help to align the ball and socket joint of the hip. If they are weak, then alignment will be off and the joint will rub the labrum too much. Then it's just a matter of time before there's a tear in the labrum.

Your not going to believe this but I have that too. Showed up on an MRI... I don't think that's causing me pain.. I need my body strengthed and properly alligned.. etc..

So actually if your doing pelvc tilts it's ok to lift one leg too .. many trainers apparently use this as an advanced form . I found myself doing it to take pressure off my knee but the physical therapist stopped me . If I remember correctly, it was the other knee .

I'm so out of touch with my body I could cry. This hip pain is sucking the life out of me. QUESTION: To isolate the glutes, will doing the old "kegals" isolate glutes? It feels like it does. Also wiggling like I need to find a bathroom 😁 (Ann)
