The Z-95 reminds me of the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, an American single seat, single engine, monoplane fighter that entered service shortly before WWII. Fast, hard hitting, fairly nimble, and surprisingly durable, the rugged P-40 was the most advanced fighter the US had when it entered the war, and like the Z-95 they were widely exported via Lend Lease to countries such as Britain, Australia, New Zealand, China, Canada, and even the USSR. They even had two main fuselage designs, just like the Headhunter. The early models had a more slimmed down nose, making them faster, and were armed with four 30 caliber machine guns in the wings and two 50 caliber machine guns in the nose. But from the P-40E onwards, the Warhawk revived a thicker, heavier front section, along with a more powerful engine and additional armor. They also equipped the P-40 with the standard armament of six wing-mounted 50 cals, and they also equipped pylons where the P-40 could carry bombs or external fuel tanks. Despite not being as fast or maneuverable as contemporary German fighters, the Warhawks saw combat on all fronts in the first two years of the war, and gained a reputation for their reliability, ruggedness, survivability, and stability. They especially made their name in the Asian front, with the legendary American Volunteer Group, the Flying Tigers, serving in the Chinese Air Force. Although mostly retired by 1943, the P-40s continued to see service until the end of the war. Additionally, the T-65 seems to represent the follow North American P-51 Mustang, a legendary fighter that would change the tide of the war and became an icon of not just US aircraft, but aviation in general.

They were also used in Legends during skirmishes with Thrawns forces. Notably, flown by Mara Jade.

Their identity is really mysterious and would be great to get some closure and maybe add depth into the plot of Return of The Jedi to know why they were there.

The absence of a second pair of S-foils in the Headhunter can be explained that the ordnance handlers wanted to fit missile launcher pods/boxes under the first pair.

If there is enough info could you do a video on the Imperial Assault Gunboat? Ive only seen it in the Tie Fighter game. I dont know if it has appeared anywhere else.
