Huge Alexandra Rowland fan here - that book is amazing. Highly recommend Tadek and the Princess if you've read A Taste of Gold and Iron. They sell books directly from their website including ebooks for their indie pubbed stuff! Also, the author uses they/them and not she/her!

Celestial Monsters does follow a trans male main character, Teo. There is also another one, Xio, and I love him very much and I’m excited to see his role in celestial monsters because the way the sunbearer trials ended he’s gonna play a big part in the story.

I finally picked up Dark Rise from one of your previous videos. I enjoyed reading it, though on of the faults of the book was everyone putting their fingers in their ears and going "LALALALA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" to everything they don't like to hear. Especially Violet.

Still, that aside, I'm eager to read Dark Heir because the storytelling had me hooked.

if you haven't before, you should read i shall never fall in love by hari connor. it's a historical queer romance following george and ellinore, best friends, george is nonbinary but has no idea why they don't feel like a girl, and ellinore doesn't know why she can't fall in love with a man

Bones beneath my skin is my favorite tj klune. Not a big fan of the new cover, just dont think it fits the tone- its more sci fi than fantasy.
Totally get what you mean about the flowery m/m fantasy covers 😂 feel like ive seen it on other romances, too, but definitely a trend
