It's June 28th, 2024 but damn.. I was stationed at Misawa Airbase, Japan from 2009-2013 and the exchange rate fluctuated as low as 70 to as high as 89 yen to the dollar. Due to the strong local currency, we got an extra $2-300 per paycheck. A beer at the hole in the wall bar was anywhere from 500-1, 000 yen. Bowl of ramen from the local noodle shop was 9-1, 500 yen. I can only imagine how much it costs now. How times have changed..

160 is rather low. A cup of coffee in Japan is 700 to 1000 yen. Coffee is more expensive in Japan. As i said, 160 is low. I lived in Japan 1985. At that time, coffee was 500 yen 💴 and the rate was 258 yen per dollar.
