"But the ceremony will not be canceled"-Her response to the coach

She was not brutal, she was just asking what happened. She gave her a hug but you decided to cut it from the video.

It's so unfair to call it brutal! Before concluding you should learn about mentality differences between Americans and Russians. Even when we learn English at school and translate directly phrases from Russian to English, teachers often aware us that it can sound rude in English. As a Russian language native I can say that Eteri's phrase is neutral without any signs of abuse or aggression. And taking into account Eteri's specific manner of talking (I mean how her voice sounds), she even tried to soften her voice. So this video is totally bulling the coach based on nothing.

Where you saw a brutal coaching? As a Russian speaker I understood what she said and her words were only question. She didn’t raise her voice, she just wanted to know what happened. Nothing brutal.

It ain't brutal. But with everything she has been through I expected someone to comfort her after the race.

It's more brutal that they saw a crying 15 year old and sticked a camera right to her face instead of leaving her alone

I really do not find anything rude in her words. Even if she is 15 she has just concluded her olympic professional performance and maybe the coach was right. Sometimes it is much better to face problems, without being rude, instead of only comfort with sweet words that might sound like the disgusting "awww". Personally I would prefer that mood in that moment. Furthermore I saw the coach during the scores show and she was hugging and comforting her.

why brutal? she said it nicely and with a bit of pity but also compassion.

This was not brutal at all. Sorry. Coach knew all the hard work they all put in and she was just disapointed.

She is the COACH not a mother, it is a real fight, the girl made a choice, the coach is there to make sure she will not give up, the Coach supports the strength, it is a different reality, that we do not understand. People stop blaming wrong side as usual

Lol at anyone thinking this is brutal. When I won basketball championship of my country U15 few years ago coach would throw ball at us full speed, shout at us and even made me do jumping jacks and push-ups after bad play in front of few hundred people at finals to mock me. And believe it or not I didn't made a bad play till the end of the game after that. Still few years later we are in contact of each other and I think he was the best coach I ever had. And I was 14 at the time.

As a coach she didn't make any wrong question, she ask something normal about her performance

Well, her coach was “brutal” for asking her why she gave this up and not the CAS that caused so much psychological damage to this athlete? She just asked her why she let it go. My dad asks the same thing when he sees me down, not trying anymore. It’s not brutal, it’s support. Stop using words just to make an impression.

Next up: Eteri brutally says "good morning" to one of her skaters. #chilling #disturbing

What you want to say with this video? Tutberidze asked Kamila about normal things! It's normal for coach to ask like this. Proud of you, Russian skaters and coach team. You gave, you give and you will give Olympic champions to the world!

It isn't brutal couching. Eteri is the best figure skating coach out there and her girls have been winning since 2014 for a reason. If whe was all nice and content with them, they wouldn't have gotten medals. She was right as a couch to tell Kami that she shouldn't have had a nonchalant attitude in the end just because she fell beforehand. This is the right way to couch - being honest, straightforward and to demand the maximum usage of your capabilities
