First of all, THANK YOU! Your guide got me 99% there and I bought the exact parts you did for my Yoga Flame SF2 cab and a Super Console X Pro. I couple of things I didn't see in the video that may help people: 1. You must plug in your HDMI LCD Controller board in order for it to work! In my case, the plug from my Arcade 1Up which used to go to my PCB board worked fine. 2. The position of the joysticks matters! I spent more time than I'd care to admit trying to understand why one of them kept registering up as down and down as up. I assumed you could just configure it in the software and it wouldn't matter. WRONG. Hope these updates help someone!

Very well explained! Thank you!! I much appreciate that you didn’t skip or gloss over any of the steps. What seems obvious to one person might not to another so it’s nice thst you took the time to show everything you are doing!

Nice install video. Love the idea of the Velcro tape as opposed to screws. I have my ArcadeModUp kit coming in the next few days.

Is this still completely up to date and relevant for 2023 as far as parts go? Awesome video to help me develop the courage to start. You made it look so easy!
Can't wait to get modding.

I purchased a Space Invader A1up with the hopes to put a retro pie in it but have been waiting on a solution to a control panel and just stumbled onto one today. Glad I found your video and that you offer SD cards so next month I should be getting one from you. Expect a lot of questions lol.

Dude thank you! I have the final fight and mk2 cabinets. I was staring the final fight buttons down for a while trying to figure out how I would fit 6 buttons.. then I looked at the mk2 and said screw it this is much less work! Its got 5 buttons. Then watching your vid i was dreading the hole for the select button but saw you popped them on the side - BAM! So much easier. Might throw in 2 buttons on both the sides as extras.

Awesome video. Thanks a lot for doing these very in depth instructions. Personally I'm familiar with about 70% of what you're showing BUT there are so many people that are just beginning and need this level of tutorial. When it comes to building your library for use on emulators and front ends I certainly struggle so this approach of yours is VERY APPRECIATED. Honestly I like the comic book look of your set up but I really prefer the hyperspin look. It's the only thing keeping me from buying your card as I just don't have time to fool with stuff. I just want plug and play. Keep up the great work man and I may just say the heck with it as being picky about a front end is being, well, picky. And I don't like being picky lol.

Awesome video. IS the process the same on new cabinets? I have the midway legacy cabinet and the audio is top mounted and the speakers have a 3.55 jack not single wires. IS there still a way to do a complete pi mod.?

I picked up the Space Invader counter-cade version for $30, I plan to install a Pi in it but it only has like one button. Not much room for 2P unfortunately so I was thinking I could run some USB ports for game controllers.

could this be done on an arcade 1 up ridge racer cabinet? I haven’t been able to find anything about modding that specific cabinet yet

Hi, I think this is a very good video showing how to modify the Arcade 1up cabinets. I am new to this but I would like to try to modify my cabinet. What was missing for me was how to actually get the games onto the SD card, like where I find the games, and how to get them on the card. Do you have a video showing how to do this? I keep searching for a video like this but all I get is the actual modification without showing how to find the games and how to install them on the card. your response will be greatly appreciated.

Hello! Thank you for the awesome video! I am new to this stuff, can a Raspberry Pi 4 be installed without replacing the joysticks?

Hey man great video, helped a lot! I’m about to get a MK cab for my birthday pretty soon and I wanna do some modifications but I have a few questions. So for the raspberry pi, would I be able to find one online with like almost all the games you have?? I’m really interested in that and were you able to play like MK deception, deadly alliance and Armageddon? And a thing about the control panel. The only modifications I want to do that is change the buttons to light up and maybe if I have enough money after my birthday then get a new control panel (art wise). But I’m sorry for the questions I’m just really trying to get the best I can get. Last question, does the raspberry pi run all the Arcade1up games?

Where does the volumes wire go into? I noticed you didn't mention it in the video. My volume wire has 3 female holes/pins
