I would agree with you if he said something to the effect of "forceful" vs. "statutory". But it wasn't just the misplacement of a single word. Akins continues his speech by talking about how women's bodies can shut down pregnancy. I researched the science and it does not have any real peer support. It's just not accepted. So I would disagree that all he did was use the wrong term. He expounded on his pov. And when he got hammered he backtracked. That's my point.

Alex, you're a little bit over exaggerating of what he said. All he did was use the wrong term. I can tell you right now that he thinks all rape is bad. In today's language rape can have different meanings that may seem like it's less serious or bad.
