Thank you as always for this wonderful video, Miranda 🌻
I am watching your videos in an order that has no rhyme or reason whatsoever, this one caught my attention because I wish it was already autumn... From the books you recommended I read 84, Charing Cross Road, the Truly Devious Trilogy and A Discovery of Witches.
A book I read every autumn is The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, and also the middle grade series Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend. Highly recommend to look them up. Both are also very good as audiobooks.

I would be really interested to hear about your thoughts and faves from the British Library Women Writers collection, a video idea maybe? 😊

Lots of bookish temptation in this video Miranda! I really like the sound of the Letitia Rodd Mysteries. They also sound like a good Audible listen. Happy Birthday for next week and thank you again for all your hard work bringing such worthwhile and super-enjoyable content to all your followers. X

I loved your thoughts on The Love Child, Miranda - and the idea of it as a sort of ghost story is wonderful.

Enjoy your birthday break and have a happy and a relaxing one! I will be reading Dracula for the first time this month, but decided to read Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu first since it influenced Dracula.

The Love Child and the Maureen Johnson trilogy sound very good and I’m adding to my list. I love 84 Charing Cross Road and will be rereading it for the club this month. And I better add A Discovery of Witches too. And Murder by the Book. And The Secrets of Wishtide. And I guess just all the books you’ve mentioned. That’s easier to say than to just keep listing them one by one😊. I hope you have a wonderful birthday. And I love your pumpkin vignette on the table behind you. Have a wonderful weekend, Miranda🧡🍁🧡🍁

Loved The Discovery of Witches trilogy. Book 2 is the best.
Hope you like Dracula. Read it when I was about 12 and have loved it ever since.
Looking forward to doing a reread of Charing Cross Road with you and your mum.
Seeing you two together makes me miss my mother so much. I’m so happy for you that you have her and have a shared hobby.
Cheers from the US.

Hello Miranda I love this TBR video, I started on 84 Charing Cross Road, and decided to read it two letters at a time because I didn’t want to finish it too soon....on second thoughts maybe I will read it this weekend and just re read it later 🤷🏾‍♀️ The “Truly Devious” serious sounds great now that I’m into mysteries ( Agatha Christie) I realize I’m starting a collection within my book collection with her books ( ha!!!! I’m bragging because I have 5 of her books😊) “ Mexican Gothic “ also sounds great but I’m easy to scare.” I would be reading a book and pausing because I heard something, or stopping to look over my shoulders and that’s with some middle grade novels that I have on hand..😂😂😂. “The Secret of Wishtide” is definitely going on my list I love the cover. I hope You and Donna have a Wonderful time in London ...Have a very Happy Fun Birthday 🎂🎉🥰

Hello,
This weekend I’m reading The Mad Women’s Ball by Victoria Mas & rereading 84 Charing Cross Road for The Comfort Book Club, it’s a joy to read.
Although I’m in Spring, I love to have a Seasonal TBR List ready to go & there are some fabulous books here to put on my Christmas List in preparation for my Autumnal reading.
Have a very Happy Birthday & a fabulous trip to London, can’t wait to see what books you get for your birthday & your time in London.🎂 🎈 📚🍁🧡

What wonderful suggestions as always! I love the sound of The Love Child and the Truly Devious trilogy. I reserved The Secrets of Wishtide at my library after you recommended it on a previous video, I’m really looking forward to that, and also to rereading 84 Charing Cross Road, which is an old favourite of mine. I loved A Discovery of Witches trilogy (I also found it after watching the television adaptation a year or two ago), I especially liked the second novel which is set largely in the Elizabethan era, I loved the historical details. I think Mexican Gothic sounds far too scary for me!!

Excellent recommendations! I've added a couple of the series you recommended to my wishlist. I have just finished reading 84 Charring Cross Road and I have to admit, as I read the letters, I constantly heard Anthony Hopkins, Ann Bancroft, and Judy Dench in my head. Now that is comfort for sure!!!
Have a brilliant time in London and a VERY Happy Birthday week, I wish you laughter, love & happiness as you celebrate.

I'm a little late to the party here. I am reading Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray. It is part of the Diviners series. I read the first in the series, The Diviners, last year. Although it is marked as YA it really spooked me and stuck with me. I'm pretty sure Lair of Dreams will be just as spooky.

I hope you have a very lovely birthday Miranda 🎂! Thanks for all these great suggestions. I read Dracula a few years ago and found it such a fun read. Lots of adventure and mystery. I hope you enjoy it.
