Another tip for crosshair placement:
Every Agent is 2 meters tall.
The base height of the radionite boxes on sites are 2 meters.
Basically everything in Valorant is build on a box system where the default height for anything is 2 meters, meaning that almost wherever you are, there will be a reference for headheight.

Something to note is that your character can take 2 steps before making noise so you could quietly wide swing something

Yeap crosshair placement is everything, but also practicing flicks can help if they don't swing wide.

Usually when I peek, I'll walk close to the wall so they can't hear me, then wide peek while running, counter strafe, then shoot. So when I'm holding an angle, I usually prefer (like 80% of the time) to keep my crosshair farther from the wall

Additionally, if you have slow reaction time there's no need to look cool by keeping your crosshair very close to the wall or peeking in so little gap with OP/Marshal. Got style points but damages no one.

this is true but when you hear them run you should still be careful because several times they run and last second they just peek very tightly and kill me easily.
