So proud of these kids! Standing on the right side of history is the most honorable action one can take. These students are highly intelligent with exceptional critical thinking and analysis skills. Probably something a lot of the adults in Douglas County should be taking notes on. Open meeting laws are there for a reason. Public Comment Sessions are there for a reason. Conducting leadership decisions in a Professional, Ethical and Conscientious Manner is beyond paramount in this situation. Clearly that’s not what happened during the DCSD BOE Meeting and these students are rightfully standing up in opposition. When laws are broken and ethics violations are allowed to stand, you can expect loud opposition and I commend them for standing up for what is right and what is just. Couldn’t be prouder! Great work kids!
