Brexit Minister Lord Frost says the Northern Ireland protocol is the biggest source of mistrust between the UK and EU and is driving a wedge in the Good Friday Agreement.

Lord Frost has called for changes in the arrangement designed to prevent a hard border on the island of Ireland - saying it's "not working".

A Brexit timeline.
2016 - Brexit will make us better off
2017 - Brexit won't make us worse off
2018 - Brexit will make us worse off but only for the first 50 years
2019 - Nobody ever claimed it would make us better off
2020 - We don't care if we starve
2021 - It's all Remainer's fault.

Is he not the same guy who negotiated the Brexit protocol and encouraged the uk to sign it?

The main trust of his argument is that 'the UK governs N. Ireland, not the EU' What about the will of the people of N.I., the majority of whom voted to remain in the EU?

This was an agreement that the UK entered into and now they blame the EU...

He is admitting that he negotiated a bad deal and is now having "buyers remorse"!

He negotiated the protocol over months and months. Now he's complaining that he didn't read it properly. Why is he even in this job? Crazy!

Complete Hogwash! As someone from NI, I can say the only problem with the NI Protocol is that it's actually working too well!

What a suprise....the Tories are breaking another agreement. Best negotiators I've ever seen.

I don't know which planet Frost is living on, but it doesn't seem to be the same one as Europeans. Only the UK has a problem with what was agreed. Only the UK keeps on talking about Brexit, maybe because they are also the ones having problems because of it. But that's only the responsibility of those that wanted the kind of Brexit they worked towards and have now.

_It is oven-ready and every single Conservative MP elected at this election, all 365 of them, have pledged to vote for this deal immediately_

Doesnt that mean also breaking the good Friday Agreement?
Never trust a tory.

The reason is simple.
The NI Protocol offers enormous economic advantages to Northern Ireland and shows up how much GB will suffer under a hard brexit.

Why on earth would the EU negotiated a new deal when the UK can't even stuck to the one they agreed to already ?

Why ? The deal was done months ago ...just stick with it

What a pity the English partitioned their neighbours country 100 years ago, nothing but trouble ever since.

Says who?😉The EU does'nt have to do anything because a deal is a deal and should be honoured by both parts. The UK is embarassing themselves less than two years after Boris Johnson gladly signed the "oven ready" deal he came up with🙄
Time to take responsibility for your actions instead of blaming the EU.

I am completely baffled by all of this. Calling them clowns that turned the UK into a banana republic is an understatement.
