Who Carved These Mysterious Lines in the Desert?

The Nazca were an ancient group of farmers and fishermen that used desert plateaus as a canvas for giant geoglyphs. But some of these drawings pre-date the Nazca. Who created them and why?

These funerary textiles are mind blowing, the last one is completely insane!! I find meso-American art peculiarly fascinating, it's incredibly rare to stumble on something like this. the intricate motifs and the incredible quality of the work look so surreal even today. Personally I don't think that the imagery represented is just a representation of the agricultural cycle. I think it represents a spiritual experience brought on by their shamans and use of their psychoactive plants, it could be a representation of their complex spiritual belief system illustrated on a funerary blanket. We are very fortunate to have found these relics!
