His fascinating life has been captured by Reid Mitenbuler, author of the Freuchen biography, “Wanderlust: An Eccentric Explorer, an Epic Journey, a Lost Age.” Reid’s initial encounter with the larger-than-life figure was a memorable moment in a very memorable place.
