Did you know that the dollar symbol has its origin in Spain?

In this fourth video of the series "Did you know..." we explain that the dollar is a symbol of Spanish origin. The "real de a ocho", known as "Spanish dollar", became the first legal tender in the United States and when in 1792 the American dollar was created its design was based on the Spanish currency.
